Sue Thomas is an American woman who became the first deafen person to work as an undercover investigator, conducting surveillance by reading lips for the FBI. Speech Therapist helped her develop her voice and sour an expert lip reader. It was this experience that made Sue the vehemence for the television show Sue Thomas: F.B. EYE. (Sue was played by Deanne Bray, who is also deaf). She was born on May 24, 1950 in Boardman, Ohio and at the age of 18 months, became deaf.
